Glen Lake Camp is a beautiful facility located
on 55 acres along the Paluxy River in Glen Rose, Texas. The original
facilities were purchased and have been continually operated by
the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church since
1939. In 1985 a new master plan was adopted that allowed for substantial
growth and upgrade of the camp facilities. Glen Lake Camp offers
exceptional summer camp experiences for those entering 3rd through
12 grades and various retreats throughout the rest of the year
directed at specific goals and/or groups of people.
The primary purpose for which Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center
is formed, and to which its assets are pledged, is to promote
the threefold spiritual, mental and physical development of young
persons and adults as Christians.
