  • January 31 - Family Fun Day: World Wetlands Day - Fossil Rim Wildlife Center from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Come celebrate World Wetlands Day with us! Learn about the values and benefits of our wetlands, while participating in wetland-related crafts and games. Central Texas has many riparian (riverside) wetlands, which provide food and cover for wildlife. You can make your own wetland wildlife – origami frogs, tissue-paper turtle puppets, and even weave your own fish to take home with you. Plus, you can play the Water Cycle Game – learn what’s it’s like to be a water droplet! Discover your wetlands and the interconnectedness of wetlands with the environment around us. These activities will all be available in the Eco Center at Fossil Rim’s Overlook. All ages welcome. Activities are free with paid admission to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center’s Scenic Wildlife Drive.
